ETH

Freedom and individual responsibility, entrepreneurial spirit and open-mindedness: ETH Zurich stands on a bedrock of true Swiss values. Our university for science and technology dates back to the year 1855, when the founders of modern-day Switzerland created it as a centre of innovation and knowledge. In 2015, ETH counts 19233 Students and 503 Professors. The Aerothermochemistry and Combustion Systems Laboratory (LAV) at ETH is engaged in research and teaching on the fundamentals of chemical-reactive systems and their implementation (principally via internal combustion engines – ICE) in automotive, heavy duty, marine and power applications. The Laboratory is part of the Institute of Energy Technology, which belongs to the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering.
